About Us
Impact Reading, Inc. operates programs and conducts research to increase elementary students’ engagement with reading, love of learning, and sense of belonging at school.
Its school-based programs are designed to support schools’ learning goals for their students while strengthening the home-school connection, increasing student self-confidence and self-efficacy, and promoting well-being, mental health, and professional satisfaction for all school community members.
The organization’s priority is to deliver literacy programs in schools where students have the least access to book choice and ownership, and where schools and families face the greatest hurdles in providing the learning environments that students need to succeed.
The organization conducts research to document the efficacy and impact of its programs, and to ensure they remain aligned with the broader goals and desired outcomes of U.S. schools, youth advocates, families, and caregivers.
